The Session

In this playful free-flow Paper Collage Social we will be letting go, focusing on freedom within the process of making and perusing a plethora of all the papery planes, whilst exploring texture, shape and colour to create a beautiful, botanically inspired abstract composition.

We begin the session with a brief intro to collage techniques and a quick guided warm up activity where we will make miniature plant pot cards, before letting go and diving into a pool of papers to create the perfect personalised artwork to frame and pop on your wall or gift to a friend or loved one.

The session will be super relaxed and aims to be a little bit of time set aside for you to unwind. I will be on hand to offer gentle guidance and encouragement throughout.

Suitable for all levels ... beginners and beyond.

The Venue

Independent cafe bar “The Art of Tea” is situated in the heart of Didsbury. A bohemian sanctuary attached to the charming Didsbury Village Bookshop.

We’ll be nestled in their newly renovated “Green Tea Room” with endless tea, coffee, tipples and nibbles available to order from the menu all evening. You will also be able to peruse the books in the bookshop for further inspiration. The perfect ambience for a calm and cosy creative social.

Materials

All materials, papery bits and sharp-edged tools are provided. You may wish to bring your own collage materials and equipment if you are a seasoned collagist or you’ve finally found something you can use those scrappy bits of paper for!
